NILUG Meetings for November 2009

General Session

The NILUG general session will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the River of Friends Church in Post Falls, ID. The meeting starts at 1pm and generally runs until about 4pm. For this meeting, there will be a short description of the changes that were implemented in Ubuntu 9.10. There will then be a tutorial on how to turn a set of JPG images into a video slideshow.

Technical Session

The NILUG technical session will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at the F1 For Help Computer Store in Rathdrum, ID. The technical session is devoted to helping users with installations and configuration of Linux on their computers. We can help you install that new Linux distro you are just aching to try out on your computer, so plan to attend if you need help.

    Today I was reading my e-mail and stuff using Karmic Koala. My wife just got a notebook computer with (ahem) vista. She kept having to re-boot and restart explorer and well, you know the microsoft experience is. I just had to LAUGH. More proof that Linux is better than windows.
