Wednesday, October 19th, 2005November Meeting
The next North Idaho Linux User Group meeting will be on Saturday, November 12, 2005 at the normal meeting place. The meeting starts at noon and goes until we all run out of gas – usually 3 or 4 pm.
SuSE Linux 10.0 will be available for those who are interested. It comes on 1 dual-layer DVD or 5 CDs. If you are interested, please say so in our mailing list. If you want a DVD, you must bring your own blank dual-layer DVD. If you want CDs and you tell us on the mailing list, that will give us a chance to make up some disks before the meeting.
Digital TV Tuner for Linux
pcHDTV has been selling TV tuner cards for your computer for a while now. Their latest is the HD-3000, which supports digital television signals. The most unusual thing about the card is the limited operating system support – they only support Linux! Microsofties and Macaholics need not apply.
The HD-3000 will be reviewed at the November meeting, for those who are interested in capturing video to their Linux computer or just watching TV on their computer.
